Job summary

LHH in Chicago is seeking a seasoned Legal Operations professional to support governance, regulatory compliance, contract administration, immigration, and entity management. You will coordinate KYC responses, maintain corporate records, and help manage commercial contracts and NDAs with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of legal operations or paralegal experience, a Bachelor's degree, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal tech

  • Experience supporting contracts, governance, regulatory filings, or related functions.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities with cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Support legal and compliance operations across governance, regulatory compliance, contract administration, immigration, and entity management.
  • Coordinate and respond to KYC requests from financial institutions and partners.
  • Maintain corporate records, organizational charts, and legal documents.
  • Assist with governance matters, filings, and entity maintenance.
  • Manage and track commercial agreements, NDAs, and service contracts.
  • Monitor obligations, deadlines, renewals, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate immigration processes and visa renewals with outside counsel.
  • Maintain insurance records and monitor policy renewals.
  • Draft and revise legal correspondence, policies, and business documents.
  • Partner with Compliance, Finance, Operations, and other stakeholders on initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and workflows.

Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Support legal and compliance operations across corporate governance, regulatory compliance, contract administration, immigration, and entity management.
  • Coordinate and respond to KYC (Know Your Customer) requests from financial institutions and business partners.
  • Maintain corporate records, organizational charts, and legal documentation.
  • Assist with corporate governance matters, annual filings, and entity maintenance activities.
  • Manage and track commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, NDAs, and service agreements.
  • Monitor contractual obligations, key dates, renewals, compliance requirements, and regulatory deadlines.
  • Coordinate immigration-related processes, including communication with outside counsel and tracking visa renewals.
  • Maintain insurance records and monitor policy renewals and coverage requirements.
  • Draft and revise legal correspondence, policies, and other business documents.
  • Partner closely with Compliance, Finance, Operations, and other internal stakeholders to support ongoing legal initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, documentation, and workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in a legal, compliance, corporate, legal operations, or paralegal capacity.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience supporting commercial contracts, corporate governance, regulatory filings, or related legal functions.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal technology or contract management platforms.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Additional Information
  • Personal Time Off (PTO) is offered on an accrual basis up to 184 hours a year, 13 Paid Holidays, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave. PTO and holiday hours are prorated based on hire date within the calendar year.
