Join a growing Los Angeles legal team as a Legal Administrative Assistant, providing high-level administrative and organizational support across several transactional practice areas, including Capital Markets/Commercial Lending, Health Care, Real Estate/Finance, and Tax. Requirements
- 5+ years of legal administrative experience within a law firm, preferably supporting transactional practices
- Background supporting areas such as capital markets, commercial lending, health care, real estate/finance, and/or tax is a plus
- Familiarity with electronic court and document filing
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Exceptional written communication, proofreading, and typing skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with attorneys and administrative teams
- Strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and work effectively in a high-volume environment
- Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and identify solutions
- Professional, polished communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to attorneys across multiple transactional practice groups
- Open and maintain new matters and ensure files contain accurate and complete documentation
- Organize, maintain, and update electronic and physical files as needed
- Assist with electronic filings and other legal administrative processes
- Prepare, format, proofread, and edit correspondence, documents, presentations, and other materials
- Manage competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Coordinate administrative tasks and follow up on outstanding items to keep matters moving
- Handle confidential client and firm information with professionalism and discretion
- Communicate effectively with attorneys, colleagues, clients, and other professional contacts
- Anticipate attorney needs and proactively address administrative issues before they become obstacles
- Support the broader team with additional administrative projects and responsibilities as needed
