Job summary

Belcan is seeking an Electronic Component Project Engineer for a full-time, in-office role in the CAT Legacy electronics systems engineering group. The position focuses on sustaining legacy components, mitigating obsolescence, and enforcing design control across projects.

You will collaborate with project leads, suppliers and cross-functional teams to execute validation, testing, and lifecycle management, while ensuring compliance with CAT standards and documentation practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with legacy or NPI electronic hardware platforms.
• Familiarity with validation testing and lab coordination.
• Experience working with global or cross-functional engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute legacy sustainment and obsolescence mitigation tasks aligned with approved plans.
• Own technical deliverables for components or design families, including analysis and reviews.
• Support schedules by completing tasks on time and escalating blockers early.
• Maintain engineering records and documentation.
