Legacy Aerospace Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Position Overview

Location: Grand Prairie, TX

Are you a Production Supervisor or Lead ready to advance your career? Join our Aerospace team today! As the Aerospace Transparencies Production Supervisor at PPG’s Aerospace division, you will oversee a designated production area, ensuring safety and meeting production schedules. You will collaborate with other supervisors and your team to produce critical aerospace components.

This is a second shift role, typically working Monday – Friday, 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm. The position is onsite at our Grand Prairie, TX facility, reporting directly to the Production Manager.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support an assigned Production Area, focusing on safety, risk reduction, and continuous improvement.
• Plan daily work, allocate resources, and monitor results.
• Hire, mentor, counsel, and coach employees regarding performance and policies.
• Prioritize and manage production flow, monitor equipment and staffing, study methods, and implement cost reductions.
• Compile and report shift production summaries.
• Ensure equipment operation through repairs, evaluations, and new techniques.
• Analyze production data, respond to inquiries, and provide manufacturing information.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Leadership, coaching, employee engagement, and mentorship skills required.
• Experience with process management, resource planning, and production scheduling required.
• Familiarity with Lean Methodology, process improvement, and 5S preferred.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
