Aerospace Transparencies Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Grand Prairie, TX

Are you a Production Supervisor or Lead ready to advance your career? Join our Aerospace team today!

As the Aerospace Transparencies Production Supervisor at PPG's Aerospace division, you will supervise a designated production area, ensuring safety and meeting production schedules. You will collaborate with other supervisors and your team to produce key components for aerospace applications.

This is a second shift role, typically Monday - Friday, 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm.

This onsite position is based at our Grand Prairie, TX facility, reporting directly to the Production Manager.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and support the production area, focusing on safety, risk reduction, and continuous improvement.
2. Plan daily work, assign resources, and monitor outcomes.
3. Hire, mentor, counsel, and coach employees regarding performance and policies.
4. Manage production flow, address constraints, and implement cost reductions.
5. Compile and analyze production reports and performance data.
6. Ensure equipment operation through repairs and evaluation of new techniques.
7. Provide manufacturing performance information and respond to data requests.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in employee leadership, coaching, and engagement.
• Ability to manage processes, resources, and production planning.
• Experience with Lean, process improvement, and 5S is a plus.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
