Qualifications

• Master's degree in Exercise Physiology or related field with CSCS, or CSCS within 6 months.
• PhD in Exercise Physiology is preferred, along with 5 years of collegiate teaching experience.
• Ability to coordinate clinical education and assess competencies across curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Clinical curriculum coordination: Ensure clinical competencies are introduced, reinforced, and assessed progressively across the curriculum.
• Competency assessment: Assist with curriculum mapping, competency tracking, summative assessment, and documentation of individual student attainment.
• Clinical learning activities: Develop and coordinate clinical cases, simulations, activities, and other practice-oriented learning experiences.
• Preceptor preparation: Identify and coordinate qualified preceptors and provide required orientation and training.
• Student progression and remediation: Monitor clinical competency development and coordinate remediation and reassessment.
• Faculty support: Provide CSCS expertise and assist faculty with CASCE competency alignment and assessment.
• Program improvement: Analyze clinical competency and preceptor feedback data to identify curricular strengths and areas requiring improvement.

Job Summary

The Lecturer and Strength & Conditioning Clinical Education Coordinator position will teach 24 credit hours annually of assigned undergraduate and/or graduate exercise physiology courses in the school of allied health. The position will also provide service to the school of allied health and college of health science as directed as well as any other assigned duties. The position will also carry the role of Strength & Conditioning Clinical Education Coordinator as outlined below.

S&C Clinical Education Coordinator Duties

Clinical curriculum coordination: Ensure clinical competencies are introduced, reinforced, and assessed progressively across the curriculum.

Program improvement: Analyze clinical competency and preceptor feedback data to identify curricular strengths and areas requiring improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

Masters degree in Exercise Physiology or related field with a CSCS ( NSCA : Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) or will obtain CSCS within 6 months of hiring date.

Preferred Qualifications

PhD in Exercise Physiology, CSCS , and 5 years of collegiate teaching experience

Will this position require driving (personal vehicle, university vehicle, utility vehicle, or golf cart) in order to perform the job duties? Driving may be necessary but is not a primary responsibility
