• Identify and train qualified preceptors; provide orientation and training on expectations and assessment.
• Monitor student progression, coordinate remediation and reassessment as needed.
• Provide CSCS expertise and assist faculty with CASCE alignment and assessment.
• Analyze feedback data to identify curricular strengths and areas for improvement.

Job Summary

The Lecturer and Strength & Conditioning Clinical Education Coordinator position will teach 24 credit hours annually of assigned undergraduate and/or graduate exercise physiology courses in the school of allied health. The position will also provide service to the school of allied health and college of health science as directed as well as any other assigned duties. The position will also carry the role of Strength & Conditioning Clinical Education Coordinator as outlined below.

Strength & Conditioning Clinical Education Coordinator Duties

• Clinical curriculum coordination: Ensure clinical competencies are introduced, reinforced, and assessed progressively across the curriculum.
• Competency assessment: Assist with curriculum mapping, competency tracking, summative assessment, and documentation of individual student attainment.
• Clinical learning activities: Develop and coordinate clinical cases, simulations, activities, and other practice-oriented learning experiences.
• Preceptor preparation: Identify and coordinate qualified preceptors and provide required orientation and training regarding student expectations, competency assessment, feedback, and documentation.
• Student progression and remediation: Monitor clinical competency development, identify students needing additional support, and coordinate remediation and reassessment.
• Faculty support: Provide CSCS expertise and assist faculty with CASCE competency alignment and assessment.
• Program improvement: Analyze clinical competency and preceptor feedback data to identify curricular strengths and areas requiring improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

Masters degree in Exercise Physiology or related field with a CSCS (NSCA: Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) or will obtain CSCS within 6 months of hiring date.

Preferred Qualifications

PhD in Exercise Physiology, CSCS, and 5 years of collegiate teaching experience
