Responsibilities
- Adheres to all departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
- Greets and welcomes each guest seated in assigned station.
- Takes food and beverage orders, delivers prepared food promptly, and checks with table periodically to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintains current and accurate information regarding menu (e.g., preparation techniques, seasonings, ingredients, and plate presentation).
- Suggests items to guests based on expressed preferences.
- Up-sells appetizers, beverages, and desserts in accordance with restaurant service standards.
- Correctly enters food and beverage orders into the POS system to ensure accurate preparation of product.
- Resolves service issues according to established guidelines.
- Itemizes, totals, and presents check for payment to correct customers.
- Assists bus persons in bussing, cleaning, and setting tables.
- Wipes counter areas, sinks, and floors as required to maintain a clean and safe workstation.
- Maintains cleanliness of designated areas according to health and safety standards.
- Deep cleans restaurant equipment and operates machinery following guidelines and safety procedures.
- Completes assigned side work; promotes current casino events and programs; guides guests to casino areas.
- Provides positive communication using Red Carpet Training skills with every patron and co‑worker.
- Performs duties in a safe manner; reports potential safety hazards to management.
- Performs any reasonable, temporarily assigned job duties outside the position’s job description as needed.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years of food server experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Knowledge of table service procedures and table etiquette.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills with team members at all levels.
- Available to work required schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Ability to tolerate second‑hand smoke, noise, and bright lights.
- Ability to work at a fast pace in a crowded/noisy environment.
- Must meet professional appearance standards per company policy.
- Regularly required to stand; use hands to handle objects; occasionally required to walk, climb, balance; and talk or hear.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
