Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care is seeking an HR Leave Administrator to advise employees and managers on the Leave program and manage all Leave of Absences. You will ensure compliant processing, educate staff on policies, and coordinate coverage and return-to-work arrangements.

The role requires 2 years of FMLA/ADA experience, a Bachelor’s degree (or 4 years HR experience), and professional certification support (PHR/SHRM-CP). Strong Excel and HRIS skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years HR experience supporting HR processes and systems including leave management administration.
• 2 years of direct experience administering FMLA and ADA accommodations.
• Professional Certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar) and advanced Excel for reporting and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes leave requests to determine employee eligibility and certification in compliance with state and federal regulations and assists managers in development of alternate work arrangements or coverage and manages return to work.
• Records leaves and adjusts time or pay in conjunction with payroll and HR.
• Ensures compliance with internal and external policies and regulations.
• Educates and communicates internal and external policies and regulations.
• Supports all employee leave of absence matters including extended leave and long-term disability.
• Administers Paid Sick Leave Program.
• Ensures all leave transactions are entered into leave tracking and performs audits.
