Job summary

Baptist is seeking an HR Leave Specialist to manage employee leave processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and advise managers on coverage strategies.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or 4 years HR experience, 2 years FMLA/ADA experience, and professional certification like PHR/SHRM-CP; advanced Excel skills for reporting are preferred. You will maintain leave records, coordinate with payroll, and produce metrics to improve program effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or four years of HR experience supporting HR processes and leave management.
• 2 years of direct experience administering FMLA and ADA accommodations.
• PHR/SHRM-CP or similar professional certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes leave requests to determine employee eligibility and certification in compliance with state and federal regulations; resolves eligibility issues and assists managers in alternate work arrangements or coverage.
• Records leaves and adjusts time or pay in conjunction with payroll and HR.
• Ensures compliance with internal and external policies and regulations.
• Analyzes leave requests to determine employee eligibility and certification in compliance with state and federal regulations; resolves eligibility issues and assists managers in alternate work arrangements or coordination of coverage and manages employee return to work.
• Proficient in educating and communicating internal and external policies and regulations.
• Responsible for supporting all employee leave of absence matters to include extended leave and long-term disability
• Administers Paid Sick Leave Program
• Ensures all leave transactions are entered into the leave tracking. Performs periodic audits to ensure system is accurate and up-to-date and produces metrics as needed.
• Performs other duties as necessary
