Job summary

The Pennant Group is seeking a part-time Leave of Absence Specialist to support a scalable leave administration program across multiple states. You will partner with HR, Legal, Benefits, and Payroll to ensure compliant, employee-centered leave processes while delivering a world-class employee experience.

The role requires deep knowledge of FMLA/ADA/ PWFA and strong collaboration with operational leaders. The position is in Draper, UT and requires in-office presence at least one day per week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience managing complex leaves in a multi-state environment.
• Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, PWFA, USERRA and state/local laws.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience partnering with third-party leave administrators and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Administer all leave programs including FMLA, ADA, PWFA, USERRA, and state/local leaves.
• Collaborate with HR, Benefits, Payroll, Legal, and third-party admins for compliant case management.
• Develop policies, procedures, training materials, and employee communications.
• Oversee premium collection for direct billing and COBRA.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Analyze leave trends and metrics to improve processes and experience.
• Train organization on leave policies aligning with core values.
• Serve as strategic partner for Pennant’s home health, hospice, and senior living ops.
