Job summary

Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation is seeking a qualified Leave & Disability Specialist to support team members requesting leave or disability accommodation. You will liaise between employees and enterprise leadership, manage the full cycle of accommodations and leaves, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.

Collaboration with HR, Legal, and the third-party administrator is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Healthcare is required.
Minimum five (5) years of progressive and relevant experience in HR performing leaves of absence administration and disability accommodations.
Minimum two (2) years of experience in ADA/Interactive process administration.
Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.

Responsibilities

Serves as the subject matter expert for disability accommodation requests and leave programs.
Coordinates with the enterprise third-party administrator on Leave of Absence related claims.
Maintains communication with team members on leave to facilitate a smooth return to work.
Drafts and/or recommends revisions to enterprise leave policies for compliance.
Maintains complete records of leave and accommodation requests and time taken.
Provides updates to direct leaders on open accommodation claims.
Performs other duties as assigned to support the departmental operations.
