Job summary

Soliant is seeking a compassionate School Social Worker for a leave coverage role in the Wilkes-Barre area. The position starts as soon as possible and extends through February 15, 2027, with flexible daily hours (6.5 per day) and stable weekly scheduling.

You will provide direct services, assessments, counseling, and collaboration with school teams to support students and families. The ideal candidate holds an MSW with PA licensure (LSW or higher) and prior K-12 experience, strong communication

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
Active social work licensure in Pennsylvania (LSW or above).
Recent experience in a K–12 school setting preferred.
Strong communication and advocacy skills.
Knowledge of community resources relevant to student needs.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and build rapport with students, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

Provide direct services and interventions to students and families.
Conduct assessments to determine student needs and develop appropriate action plans.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and special education teams.
Facilitate small groups, crisis interventions, and individual counseling sessions.
Serve as a liaison between school and community agencies.
Participate in IEP/504 meetings and contribute to student support teams.
Maintain accurate case notes and timely documentation.
