Job summary

Sunstate is seeking a People Operations Leave & Accommodation Specialist in Phoenix to own end-to-end leave and accommodation programs, serving as a trusted advisor to employees and managers from initial request through return to work.

In this role you will manage case ownership, vendor oversight, and collaboration with HR, Payroll, Legal, Benefits, and third-party providers to achieve timely resolutions, data accuracy, and excellent employee experience across leave programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in HR, business admin, or related field.
• 4+ years of HR, leave administration, benefits, or People Operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of leave laws and compliance (FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, COBRA).
• Experience with third-party leave administrators and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Own the leave and accommodation experience from initial request to return to work.
• Coordinate with HR, Payroll, Legal, Benefits, and vendors to resolve cases.
• Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and ensure data accuracy across systems.
• Educate employees and managers on leave programs and resources.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws and regulations.
