Sunstate Equipment Co. is seeking a People Operations Leave & Accommodations Specialist to own the end-to-end leave and accommodation experience from initial request to successful return to work.

The role partners with employees, managers, HR, Payroll, Legal, Benefits and vendors to ensure compliant, timely, and empathetic service delivery. Strong case management and vendor oversight are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in HR or related field.
• 4+ years in HR, leave administration, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, HIPAA and related regulations.
• Experience with third-party leave administrators and benefits vendors.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end leave and accommodation experience from request to return.
• Serve as primary internal contact for employees and managers.
• Oversee leave programs including FMLA, ADA, short/long-term disability, and state leaves.
• Coordinate interactive accommodation processes with HR, Legal, and providers (Lockton).
• Monitor and improve vendor performance; manage escalations.
• Develop communications and documentation for employees.
• Support compliance, audits, and data accuracy across HR systems.
