Job summary

BH Management, LLC in Schaumburg, IL is seeking a Leasing Consultant to respond to inquiries, qualify leads, market and lease apartments, and renew leases while upholding Fair Housing guidelines and delivering excellent customer service.

You will represent the property professionally, maintain market knowledge, process applications, prepare lease contracts, tour prospects, and coordinate move-ins with the team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
• Demonstrated sales and closing skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
• State leasing license or ability to obtain the required license within the timeframe required by law.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries from prospective clients and identify potential renters.
• Market the property, show units, and present leasing options.
• Lease and renew apartment leases in accordance with company standards and Fair Housing guidelines.
• Process lease applications and prepare new lease contracts for CM approval.
• Tour and inspect units with prospects, including vacant or model units and common areas.
• Inspect pre-leased apartments before move-in and communicate concerns to management.
• Utilize and promote third-party online leasing programs appropriately.
• Log all prospect information and notifications into our Property Management software.
• Respond to and document emails, voicemails, and text messages from prospects and residents.
• Stay up to date with promotions and leasing incentives.
• Assist with Move Out Vacant Inspection Checklist (MOVIC) and related tasks.
