Job summary

Cal-Am Properties, Inc. is seeking a Leasing Agent to rent apartments and assist residents with their needs. The role offers $23.00 hourly pay plus lease commissions, with benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Vacation and Sick, and 401K.

Schedule runs Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturdays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Responsibilities include touring properties for prospective tenants, marketing vacancies, conducting background checks, and communicating lease terms.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School.
• Minimum Field of Expertise: Secretarial or specialized clerical, including some administrative experience.
• Preferred Education: Bachelora0s Degree.
• Preferred Experience: 3 Years.
• Preferred Field of Expertise: Combined secretarial and administrative experience.
• Must have a valid Driver0s License and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide potential tenants with a tour of the property or home highlighting the valuable features of the building.
• Assist in the marketing and advertising of vacancies on media/advert channels to attract potential tenants.
• Run background checks on potential tenants.
• Communicate the terms of the lease, rental rate, and period of payment to tenants.
• Conduct a survey of the property market to obtain information on competing lease rates and other trends that affect occupancy/rent.
• Ensure the proper documentation and storage of leasing files.
• Assist the leasing manager/community manager in walking apartments for ready status.
• Identify and report any state or federal law changes that effect the property lease, rules, or other guidelines used onsite.
• Ensures confidentiality and controls access to sensitive information.
• Ensures timely completion of their work.
