Cal-Am Properties Inc. is seeking a Leasing Agent to rent apartments and assist residents with their needs, located in Gilbert, AZ.

The role involves showing properties, marketing vacancies, and managing lease processes to ensure occupancy and satisfaction. The position offers a structured schedule Tuesday to Friday 9:00 am–5:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am–4:00 pm, with compensation of $23.00 hourly plus lease commissions and benefits including medical, dental, vision, vacation and sick leave, and

Qualifications

• High School required.
• Experience in secretarial/clerical and administrative duties preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3 years of related experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Provide tours of the property to prospective tenants.
• Assist in marketing and advertising vacancies on media channels.
• Run background checks on potential tenants.
• Explain lease terms, rental rates, and payment schedules to tenants.
• Monitor market trends to compare lease rates and occupancy.
• Maintain proper documentation and storage of leasing files.
• Support the leasing manager in showing apartments for move-in readiness.
• Identify and report changes in state or federal lease-related laws.
• Protect confidential information and ensure timely completion of tasks.

LEASING AGENT

Responsible for renting out apartments and assisting residents with their needs.

Compensation: $23.00 Hourly + Lease Commissions
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Vacation and Sick, 401K
Schedule: Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturdays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Responsibilities

• Provide potential tenants with a tour of the property or home highlighting the valuable features of the building.
• Assist in the marketing and advertising of vacancies on media/advert channels to attract potential tenants.
• Run background checks on potential tenants.
• Communicate the terms of the lease, rental rate, and period of payment to tenants.
• Conduct a survey of the property market to obtain information on competing lease rates and other trends that affect occupancy/rent.
• Ensure the proper documentation and storage of leasing files.
• Assist the leasing manager/community manager in walking apartments for ready status.
• Identify and report any state or federal law changes that effect the property lease, rules, or other guidelines used onsite.
• Ensures confidentiality and controls access to sensitive information.
• Ensures timely completion of their work.

Job Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School
• Minimum Field of Expertise: Secretarial or specialized clerical, including some administrative experience.
• Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
• Preferred Experience: 3 Years
• Preferred Field of Expertise: Combined secretarial and administrative experience in a business environment
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
