Job summary

Cal-Am Properties, Inc. is seeking a Leasing Agent in Mesa to rent apartments and assist residents with their needs. You will tour properties for potential tenants, help market vacancies across channels, and run background checks while communicating lease terms and payment details.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1–2 years experience, and a valid driver’s license. Knowledge of Yardi, CRM, and RentCafe is preferred. Schedule is Tue–Fri 9:00–6:00 and Sat 10:00–5:00.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years minimum experience in secretarial or administrative role.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience using Yardi, CRM and RentCafe preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide potential tenants with a property tour highlighting features.
• Assist in marketing and advertising vacancies to attract tenants.
• Run background checks on potential tenants.
• Explain lease terms, rental rates and payment terms to tenants.
• Survey market to obtain information on competing lease rates and occupancy trends.
• Ensure proper documentation and storage of leasing files.
• Assist leasing manager/community manager in walking apartments for ready status.
• Identify and report state or federal law changes affecting leases and guidelines onsite.
• Maintain confidentiality and control access to sensitive information.
• Ensure timely completion of work.
