Job summary
Conifer Realty is seeking a Leasing Specialist to join our Camden, NJ team, focusing on affordable housing communities. You will greet prospective residents, conduct tours, manage applications and renewals, and ensure compliance with LIHTC, HUD and related programs, while delivering exceptional customer service.
Requirements include 2+ years of leasing experience, 1 year in affordable housing, familiarity with Fair Housing, Yardi software, and strong communication and data-entry skills;
Qualifications
- 2+ years of apartment leasing experience preferred.
- 1 year experience with affordable housing programs (LIHTC, HUD-Section 8, HOME, RD) required.
- Familiarity with Fair Housing and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Yardi or similar property management software.
- Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Basic math and data-entry abilities for rent collection and recordkeeping.
- Bilingual Spanish/English skills are a plus.
- High school diploma or GED; COS or TCS certification desired.
Responsibilities
- Greet prospective residents, conduct tours, and highlight property features.
- Market available units and manage leasing applications and renewals.
- Ensure compliance with LIHTC, HUD and other programs during the process.
- Assist residents with rent collection and service requests as needed.
- Coordinate with maintenance and office staff to maintain property appearance and safety.
- Maintain reports and filing to support operations.

Salary: $19.00 - $22.00 | Full Time | Monday-Friday | 40hrs

Work schedules may include Saturdays, based on property performance needs such as occupancy levels, leasing activity, and rent collections.
When required, weekend coverage will be scheduled on a rotating basis and aligned with business priorities.
Employees are expected to support leasing efforts, resident engagement, and rent collection activities during scheduled weekend hours.
