Job summary

Conifer Realty LLC is seeking a Leasing Specialist/Agent for our Camden, NJ affordable housing communities. You will help residents find homes, conduct tours, process applications, and ensure occupancy meets LIHTC/HUD requirements.

Excellent customer service, attention to detail, and knowledge of Fair Housing are essential. Experience with Yardi or similar software, bilingual Spanish/English a plus, and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of apartment leasing experience preferred.
• 1 year experience with affordable housing programs (LIHTC, HUD-Section 8, HOME, RD) required.
• Familiarity with Fair Housing and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospective residents, conduct tours, and highlight community features.
• Market available units and manage leasing applications and renewals.
• Process applications and recertifications under LIHTC/HUD or other programs.
• Assist residents with rent collection, service requests, and community communications.
• Collaborate with maintenance and office staff to maintain property appearance and safety.
• Manage reports, filing, and data entry to keep operations running smoothly.

Leasing Specialist / Agent – Affordable Housing | Camden, NJ

Salary: $19.00 - $22.00 | Full Time | Monday–Friday | 40hrs

What You Bring as a Leasing Specialist

You bring warmth, attention to detail, and professionalism to every interaction:

• 2+ years of apartment leasing experience preferred.
• 1 year experience with affordable housing programs (LIHTC, HUD-Section 8, HOME, RD) required.
• Familiarity with Fair Housing and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Yardi or similar property management software.
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Basic math and data-entry abilities for rent collection and recordkeeping.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are a plus.
• High school diploma or GED required; COS or TCS certification desired or willingness to obtain.

Requirements

Work schedules may include Saturdays, based on property performance needs such as occupancy levels, leasing activity, and rent collections.

When required, weekend coverage will be scheduled on a rotating basis and aligned with business priorities.

Employees are expected to support leasing efforts, resident engagement, and rent collection activities during scheduled weekend hours.
