The position

We’re seeking a Leasing Specialist to join our team. The Leasing Specialist is responsible for leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations for multi-family residential apartments. This role involves signing leases and acting as a landlord for property owners. The ideal candidate will possess high energy, a desire to make a difference, and a commitment to exceeding resident and client expectations.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare model and target apartments for showings; maintain cleanliness of work and common areas.
2. Complete lease agreements and collect rental deposits.
3. Market properties effectively through answering questions, conducting tours, and promoting amenities.
4. Have thorough knowledge of lease terms, community policies, and specifications.
5. Distribute informational materials to local businesses and apartment locators.
6. Regularly review competitive properties and market conditions.
7. Engage in outreach marketing at least weekly.
8. Develop and maintain resident retention programs under the guidance of the Property Manager.
9. Maintain resident and property files accurately.
10. Handle resident requests and complaints courteously and efficiently.
11. Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.

Qualifications

1. Experience in property leasing, sales, or customer service.
2. Ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
3. Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
4. Excellent follow-up skills via email and phone.
5. Experience with RealPage is a plus.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
7. Experience as a Sales or Marketing Specialist preferred.
8. Affordable housing experience is a plus.
