Job summary

Chinatown Community Development Center is seeking a Leasing and Occupancy Specialist in San Francisco to maximize occupancy, manage applicant pipelines, and oversee marketing plans in coordination with MOHCD and HUD. You will work with Property Management and Compliance teams to ensure timely placement of qualified applicants and maintain HUD/LIHTC compliance while handling recertifications and notices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Further education in real estate or property management is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience in accounting, administrative support, clerical or equivalent work or study.
• Knowledge of HUD Section 8, LIHTC, and/or other affordable housing programs preferred.
• Possession of COS, TCS, or BOS credentials, or willingness to obtain them within six months of hire.
• Knowledge of MOHCD and DAHLIA processes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Marketing, Leasing, and Occupancy Management duties include developing marketing plans, conducting tours, maintaining waitlists, interviewing applicants, and coordinating move-ins.
• Resident relations include handling requests, assisting with move-in process, and communicating policies.
• Occupancy and compliance support such as recertification scheduling, notices, and documentation review for HUD/LIHTC compliance.
• Administrative support like maintaining records in Yardi and preparing leasing/occupancy/compliance reports.
• General operations support to the site and office as needed.
