Job summary

The Chinatown Community Development Center seeks a Leasing and Occupancy Specialist to maximize occupancy across the portfolio in San Francisco. You will manage applicant pipelines, maintain waitlists, coordinate move-ins, and support leasing while ensuring compliance with HUD, LIHTC, and MOHCD requirements.

You will work with Property Management and Compliance teams, lead marketing plans, and assist with annual reporting.

Qualifications

• Ability to troubleshoot and prioritize work.
• Capacity to work independently and exercise judgment.
• Familiarity with HUD/LIHTC or other affordable housing programs is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Yardi Voyager.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement marketing plans to attract qualified applicants.
• Conduct property tours and show units to prospective residents.
• Maintain waitlists and transfer lists to minimize vacancy loss.
• Schedule and conduct interviews; move applicants through the leasing pipeline.
• Coordinate move-in files and unit readiness with maintenance and compliance teams.
• Support recertification processes and compliance reporting as needed.
• Prepare leasing, occupancy, and compliance reports for management.
