The Role:
The Leasing Manager position at Avanath is a key role requiring high integrity, ethics, and strong sales and marketing skills. The role involves direct and continual contact with prospective and current residents, and it is crucial to maintain non-discriminatory rental and leasing practices. The Leasing Manager is expected to lead by example, maintain an above-average closing ratio, and provide appropriate supervision to Leasing Professionals and quality feedback to supervisors.
The Leasing Manager is primarily responsible for supporting and managing all aspects of the community leasing process. This includes actively leasing, developing, and implementing appropriate sales strategies and practices based on the community's needs, determining community sales goals, and motivating, coaching, and monitoring the performance of sales associates to achieve community and organizational goals. The Leasing Manager's focus on community engagement ensures that our current and prospective residents feel connected and involved in their living experience.
The incumbent in this role must possess a high degree of professionalism and positive engagement with our residents and the workforce.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, and the work environment is typical of that in an open office setting. Directly supervises two or more full-time Leasing Professionals. Ability to effectively supervise, coach, train, model, motivate, and monitor effective sales behavior resulting in improved performance. Establishes and achieves desired goals through effective listening, sales, and follow-through skills. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Assumes responsibility for property operations when scheduling, which results in the Leasing Manager being the senior management staff person on-site.
