Job summary

Bender Companies is seeking a dynamic Leasing Consultant to join our on-site team at the Richton Park apartment community. You will guide prospects through the leasing process, present community features, and strive to maintain high occupancy with excellent resident service.

The ideal candidate has leasing or sales experience, strong communication and negotiation skills, a customer-first mindset, and knowledge of local leasing laws.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Leasing Consultant or in a sales-focused position.
• Consistent track record of exceeding sales targets.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Customer-first mindset with ability to build rapport and tailor solutions.
• Strong understanding of local leasing laws and fair housing regulations.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Present available apartments through tours, virtual tours, and outreach to prospective residents.
• Collaborate with Community Manager and team to attract and qualify tenants.
• Market vacancies using online listings, social media, signage, and events.
• Communicate community features, pricing, availability, and lease terms.
• Guide prospects from inquiry to signed lease, ensuring policy and legal compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of local rental market trends and competitor communities.
• Perform inspections of model units and vacant apartments for optimal presentation.
• Assist with resident retention efforts and community events.

What We are Looking For:

Bender Companies isseekinga dynamic, results-driven Leasing Consultant to join our teamat one of our apartment communities in Richton Park. This individual will play a key role inmaintaininga high occupancy rate at our community byidentifyingqualified prospects, guiding them through the leasing process, and ensuring resident satisfaction.

We are looking for someone who is not only knowledgeable in property management and leasing practices but also excels in relationship-building and communication. This position requiresa strong senseof urgency, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Job Type : Full-Time

Pay :

• $18-$20/hr (base pay)
• $100 per each new lease commission
• A percentage of renewals

Schedule :

• 9 AM to 6:00 PM (however hours may vary)

• Saturdays required (10 AM to 4:00 PM)

What you will be doing:

As a Leasing Consultant , your primary goalis to provide prospective residents with the information and support they need to make confident, informed decisions about leasing.You’llserve as the first point of contact for many future tenants, guiding them through the leasing process, answering questions, andshowcasingthe features and benefits of the community.

This role is essential inmaintaininghigh occupancy rates and ensuring a welcoming, professional leasing experience from start to finish.

Core responsibilities include:

• Professionally present available apartments to prospective residents through in-person tours, virtual tours, and phone/email communication

• Collaborate with the Community Manager and leasing team toidentify, attract, and qualify potential tenants

• Market vacant units using a mix of online listings, social media, signage, and outreach events to generate leads andmaintainvisibility

• Accurately communicate community features, floorplans, pricing, availability, and lease terms to prospects

• Guide prospects through the leasing process frominitialinquiry to signed lease, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the local rental market, competitor communities, and emerging trends

• Perform routine inspections of model units and vacant apartments to ensureoptimalpresentation and functionality

• Assistwith resident retention efforts, community events, and ongoing customer service to enhance resident satisfaction and engagement

Where you will work:

This position will require you to work on-site at the property in Richton Park.
