Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Leasing Consultant to execute marketing, leasing, and renewal strategies ensuring occupancy and revenue goals. You will be the primary contact for prospective residents, guiding them through the leasing process with professionalism and an understanding of community offerings.

You will support resident satisfaction, manage lease renewals, and uphold Greystar's standards while delivering exceptional service to residents, prospects, and guests across the property.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, hospitality, or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years minimum of relevant experience in sales, marketing, internet and customer service to resolve customer issues and complete records.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to explain apartment features and complete legal documents.
• Mathematical skills to process sales conversions and leasing calculations.
• Ability to apply sales skills, generate leads, present, qualify prospects, and close.

Responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct property tours, show apartments, process applications, run credit and background checks, and prepare leases.
• Collects move-in information from residents and records it appropriately.
• Monitor market conditions, implement marketing plans, and follow policies to boost occupancy.
• Designs marketing activities and events to drive traffic, including referrals and employer outreach.
• Use on-site software to track availability, leasing activities, and resident data.
• Ensure show units meet standards by inspecting, coordinating maintenance, and preparing show-ready spaces.
• Follow up with prospects and residents within 24 hours to finalize lease decisions.
• Support lease renewals with letters and packages, coordinating renewal signs.
• Respond promptly to resident concerns and convey requests to appropriate teams.
• Provide excellent customer service, greet residents by name, and address maintenance questions.
• Attend events, network with community groups, and drive referrals to meet outreach expectations.
• Complete reports and analyses as required and assist with other duties.
• Assist Lifestyle Coordinator with event setup as needed.
