About The Leasing Consultant Position
We’re looking for a talented leasing consultant responsible for coordinating activities related to apartment rentals, move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals. The leasing consultant interacts directly with prospective and current residents to achieve maximum occupancy and ensure resident retention and client satisfaction.
- Focus on the needs of others by listening, understanding, and showing empathy and respect.
- Provide excellent customer service to prospective and current residents, promoting a quality living experience. Generate traffic, qualify prospects, lease apartments, and handle lease documentation and move-in paperwork.
- Ensure model apartments are in touring condition.
- Orient residents to the property, process renewal paperwork, and maintain detailed records of traffic activity.
- Follow up with prospects via phone, mail, or email, and convert calls into scheduled tours.
- Inspect apartments before move-ins, coordinate move-in/out schedules with maintenance.
- Create and maintain confidential resident files and review move-in paperwork.
- Complete weekly leasing reports accurately and on time.
- Assist with resident relations and support management with clerical tasks.
- Support planning and implementing resident activities to increase retention.
- Comply with all policies, health and safety rules, and legal requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education And Experience
- High school diploma required.
- Preferred: One year of sales experience and residential leasing experience.
Skills And Requirements
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Yardi Voyager or similar systems preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information.
- Valid driver’s license, clean record, and auto insurance required.
- Complete Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity, and Inclusion Training within 30 days of employment.
