Job summary

Mustang Fuel Corp is seeking a Lease Records Analyst to support the Land group by managing lease, contract, title, and acreage records. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate across departments.

Responsibilities include data maintenance in Landworks, document review, and assisting with acquisitions and divestitures. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in oil and gas lease administration and CPLTA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of oil and gas industry experience, preferably in Land or Lease Administration.
• CPLTA certification through NALTA preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Experience with Landworks, Dynamic Docs, or similar systems preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across departments.
• Ability to interpret leases, title opinions, contracts, and other land‑related documents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lease, contract, title, and land‑related data in Landworks.
• Record, set up and maintain oil and gas leases, deeds, assignments, JOAs, rights‑of‑way, ONRR documents, and other agreements when applicable.
• Review leases, title opinions, deeds, and related documents for accurate ownership and acreage records.
• Administer lease payments and other contractual obligations and review monthly obligation reports.
• Monitor lease expirations and communicate upcoming obligations to appropriate departments.
• Maintain acquisition and divestiture records and process related documentation.
• Prepare acreage reports, schedules, exhibits, and other Land‑related reports.
• Maintain and upload Land documents in Dynamic Docs.
• Research and coordinate special projects related to lease, contract, and land records.
• Provide support to the Land Manager and perform other duties as assigned.
