Job summary

Mustang Fuel Corp. is seeking a Lease Records Analyst to support the Land group by managing and analyzing lease, contract, title, and acreage records.

You will maintain accurate land records, administer lease obligations, support acquisitions and divestitures, and coordinate with Land, Accounting, and other departments. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in a related field, has 5+ years in oil and gas lease administration, and demonstrates strong analytical and communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Energy Management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of oil and gas industry experience, preferably in Land or Lease Administration.
• CPLTA certification through NALTA preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work across departments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lease, contract, title, and land-related data in Landworks.
• Record, set up and maintain oil and gas leases, deeds, assignments, JOAs, rights-of-way, ONRR documents, and other agreements when applicable.
• Review leases, title opinions, deeds, and related documents to ensure accurate ownership and acreage records, including gross and net acreage, and depth severances.
• Administer lease payment and other contractual obligations and review monthly obligation reports.
• Monitor lease expirations and communicate upcoming obligations to appropriate departments.
• Maintain acquisition and divestiture records and process related documentation.
• Prepare acreage reports, schedules, exhibits, and other Land-related reports.
• Maintain and upload Land documents in Dynamic Docs.
• Research and coordinate special projects related to lease, contract, and land records.
• Provide support to the Land Manager and perform other duties as assigned.
