Job summary

Avison Young is hiring a Lease Administrator I to support day-to-day administration of commercial lease agreements within the Occupier Services Global Lease Administration team. The role emphasizes accuracy of lease data from abstraction to system entry, with a base salary targeted between $47,000 and $65,000 plus bonus potential.

The position is based in the Chicago area and requires 1–3 years in CRE lease administration or related fields.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in commercial real estate lease administration or property management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with lease administration or property management systems (e.g., CoStar, Leasecake, MRI/ProLease, Tango, TRIRIGA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate lease data and ensure consistency with standards.
• Proactively track critical dates and lease obligations.
• Review rent charges and supporting data for accuracy.
• Generate standard lease administration reports (rent rolls, occupancy reports).
• Support onboarding and transition of accounts; validate data and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with accounting on accounts receivable and rent collection follow-up.
• Identify discrepancies and resolve routine and moderately complex issues.
• Respond to lease-related inquiries from stakeholders and tenants.
