Job summary

Cable One is seeking a Lease Accountant to maintain ASC 842 lease accounting schedules and support end-to-end processes. You will work with stakeholders across finance to ensure accurate reporting and internal controls. The role requires a bachelor's degree in accounting and at least one year of general ledger experience; ASC 842 experience is highly preferred. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• At least 1 year of practical general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develop understanding of end-to-end lease accounting processes and controls for reporting.
• Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries for lease accounting.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
• Support internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Complete special projects as requested by department leadership.
• Stay updated on FASB, SEC and PCAOB standards affecting accounting practices.
