The Office of Academic Development (OAD) is seeking a Learning Technology Specialist to support teaching and learning through effective use of educational technologies. This role focuses on managing the institution’s Learning Management System (Blackboard), providing support and training for Blackboard users, and offering consultations and resources to help faculty integrate technology into their learning environments. This role also partners with stakeholders across campus on academic-affairs-related administrative processes and reporting.
OAD is a highly collaborative office where team members integrate their work to support shared goals. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a cross-functional environment, building effective working relationships across the team and campus. Success in this position requires flexibility as priorities, direction, or information change in response to institutional needs, along with a willingness to dig deeper to fully understand issues or questions. This position requires comfort with technology, curiosity about learning new tools, and an ability to help faculty apply those tools effectively in instructional contexts.
