Qualifications

• Meets the requirements of the NCLB & ESSA.
• Prior experience with students in a learning environment.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Flexible, positive, detail-oriented, team player and willing to learn.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with dedication.
• May involve lifting, walking, sitting and standing as needed.

Responsibilities

• Fosters a safe and nurturing learning environment.
• Assists the teacher with classroom systems and manages student behavior.
• Supports differentiation to meet needs of all learners.
• Establishes an environment where students are excited about learning.
• Supports data tracking and progress monitoring.
• Builds relationships with students, parents and teachers.
• Participates in school meetings and activities.
• Assists in development or implementation of lesson plans per CA standards.
• Maintains student records and completes assigned paperwork on time.
• Collaborates with staff to meet student needs and participates in field trips.
