Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience or training with children requiring special education support.
• Ability to reinforce instruction in speech/hearing/vision-impaired contexts.
• Familiarity with IEP/SP goals and classroom procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in instruction for individuals or small groups with disabilities.
• Attend and support lower-functioning students in mainstream classrooms.
• Provide tutoring and drill exercises aligned with lesson plans and IEPs.
• Prepare instructional materials and assist with classroom displays.
• Monitor and report student progress in behavior and learning.
• Support testing administration and recordkeeping tasks.
• Supervise students on playgrounds and during field trips as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers on programs and materials to meet needs.
