Job summary

The University of South Dakota is seeking a Training and Development Coordinator to build and deliver a comprehensive employee learning program supporting faculty, staff, supervisors, managers, and institutional leaders.

You will design engaging learning experiences, coordinate training initiatives, administer the learning management system, and partner with subject matter experts across campus to strengthen training quality and effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• At least two years of related professional experience.
• Experience coordinating training programs, facilitating learning experiences, instructional design, LMS, or employee development initiatives.
• Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate engaging in-person, virtual, and online learning experiences.
• Develop training materials, job aids, guides, and competency-based learning tools.
• Administer learning management systems and track participation, completion, and learning outcomes.
• Coordinate leadership and supervisor development programs.
• Partner with academic and administrative units to improve training content, accessibility, and effectiveness.
• Support the creation of role-based learning pathways for employees at all levels.
• Analyze training data and provide insights to support continuous improvement and organizational development initiatives.
• Help build a culture of continuous learning and professional growth across the university.
