Job summary

Kalamazoo Valley Community College is hiring a full-time Training & Development Coordinator at the Texas Township Campus. You will design engaging learning experiences, lead professional development initiatives and help create a culture of continuous improvement across the college.

The role reports to the Associate Vice President of Collaboration, Compliance & Analytics/ Chief of Staff and requires coordinating across departments to meet training needs and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of related experience in higher education.
• Experience with institutional and program accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with all areas of the college to assess training needs and develops comprehensive training opportunities.
• Develops and coordinates a training calendar.
• Utilizes modern instructional design methods to develop training to meet the needs of all learning styles.
• Ensures compliance with federal and state training requirements.
• Collaborates with college leadership to identify, develop and facilitate individualized training and development plans for employees.
• Develops, organizes and facilitates large-scale professional development opportunities such as college-wide summits and leadership retreats.
• Incorporates diversity and inclusion goals into training activities.
• Assesses training effectiveness and implements improvements.
• Recommends best practices, technology, resources, processes and continuous improvement solutions.
• Keeps current with training and instructional methodologies.
• Participates in committees and teams as assigned.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
