Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Learning Experience Designer to craft engaging, scalable training across formats, blending instructional design, UX, and learning strategy to support onboarding and leadership development.

You will partner with HR, Operations, and leaders to analyze performance needs and design measurable curricula, delivering human-centered experiences via LMS/LXP platforms and AI-enabled tools. This role emphasizes impact, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, UX Design, Adult Learning, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in instructional design or learning experience design, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Strong portfolio showing end-to-end learning solutions across modalities.
• Proficiency with learning design and media tools (Articulate 360, Rise, Storyline, Camtasia, Synthesia, Adobe CC) and LMS/LXP platforms.
• Demonstrated command of instructional design methodology, learning assessment, and evaluation practice.
• Solid understanding of UX principles, learning analytics, and performance-centered design.
• Excellent writing, communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement learning experiences across formats: eLearning, microlearning, video, job aids, and performance support tools.
• Conduct learning and performance needs assessments and translate findings into curricula and measurable objectives.
• Craft end-to-end learning journeys that are engaging and human-centered.
• Apply ADDIE/SAM, Bloom's taxonomy, design thinking, and UX best practices to support retention and transfer.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to capture content and structure complex information.
• Develop storyboards, scripts, facilitator guides, and assessments aligned to outcomes.
• Create multimedia content using industry tools and manage deployments in LMS/LXP platforms.
• Measure impact with analytics and iterate using the Kirkpatrick framework, incorporating AI-assisted content improvements.
