• 2-5 years of instructional design or learning experience design experience.
• Strong portfolio of end-to-end learning solutions across modalities.
• Proficiency with learning design tools (Articulate 360, Rise, Storyline, Camtasia, Synthesia, Adobe CC) and LMS/LXP.
• Demonstrated command of instructional design methodology, learning assessment, and evaluation.
• Solid understanding of UX, analytics, and performance-centered design.
• Excellent writing, communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop storyboards, scripts, facilitator guides, participant materials, and assessments aligned to outcomes.
• Build/edit multimedia content and manage content deployment through LMS/LXP with analytics tracking.
• Evaluate and iterate using feedback, analytics, and the Kirkpatrick model; apply AI thoughtfully to accelerate content development.

Position Summary

The Learning Experience Designer crafts engaging, intuitive, and effective learning experiences that build capability and drive measurable performance. This role blends instructional design, user experience (UX), and learning strategy to support onboarding, upskilling, leadership development, and ongoing performance across the organization. You will partner with cross-functional teams, including HR, Business Operations, and functional leaders, to analyze performance needs and design scalable learning solutions that are human-centered, measurable, and grounded in adult learning science.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement innovative learning experiences across formats: eLearning, microlearning, video, job aids, and performance support tools.
• Conduct learning and performance needs assessments, and translate findings into targeted learning strategies, curricula, and measurable objectives.
• Craft end-to-end learning journeys that are engaging, human-centered, and meaningful, accounting for both emotional and cognitive engagement.
• Apply adult learning principles, instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, Bloom's taxonomy), design thinking, behavioral science, and UX best practices to support long-term retention and transfer to the job.
• Partner with subject matter experts and process owners to capture content, validate accuracy, and structure complex information into clear, learnable experiences.
• Develop storyboards, scripts, facilitator guides, participant materials, and assessments that align to defined learning outcomes.
• Build and edit multimedia content, including interactive eLearning, video, audio, motion graphics, and visual design assets, using industry-standard authoring and production tools.
• Manage content deployment through learning platforms (LMS/LXP) and track learner engagement, completion, and performance outcomes.
• Evaluate and iterate on learning experiences using feedback, analytics, and business impact measures such as the Kirkpatrick model.
• Apply AI tools thoughtfully to accelerate content development, personalization, and analysis while maintaining quality, accuracy, and learner trust.
• Manage multiple design projects concurrently, balancing scope, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
• Stay current on learning science, design innovation, and learning technology trends to continuously improve the learner experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, UX Design, Adult Learning, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in instructional design or learning experience design, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end learning solutions across multiple modalities.
• Proficiency with learning design and media tools (Articulate 360, Rise, Storyline, Camtasia, Synthesia, Adobe Creative Cloud), LMS/LXP platforms, and collaboration tools.
• Demonstrated command of instructional design methodology, learning assessment, and evaluation practice.
• Solid understanding of UX principles, learning analytics, and performance-centered design.
• Excellent writing, communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing leadership, onboarding, or compliance curricula at enterprise scale.
• Experience in change management and organizational transformation initiatives.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1) and inclusive design.
• Working familiarity with AI-assisted design and content tools.
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS or JavaScript for custom content development is a plus.
• Certification in instructional design, facilitation, or learning measurement (e.g., ATD, CPTD) is desirable.
• Exposure and experience to WalkMe or other digital adoption tools are a plus.

Pay Rate / Salary

Pay Rate $81,000 - $96,500 Salary Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
