Job summary

City of Alexandria, VA is seeking an experienced Learning and Development Analyst to support and drive HR training initiatives. This role performs needs analysis, develops and administers training programs, and collaborates with trainers and subject matter experts to ensure high-quality learning experiences.

The position analyzes program effectiveness, delivers sessions in classroom, virtual, or on-demand formats, and stays current with HR and L&D best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3 years of HR or L&D experience.
• Experience developing instructor-led and eLearning content.
• Proficiency with eLearning tools such as Articulate 360, Vyond, Synthesia and LMS.]
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs analysis, produce project plans, and lead development of training programs and resources.
• Administer and manage programs, courses, events, and activities.
• Meet with trainers and SMEs to ensure quality and consistency across training.
• Build relationships with internal leaders and SMEs to align goals and results.
• Leverage diverse learning methodologies to drive engagement and retention.
• Analyze data on training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Present training in classroom, virtual, or on-demand formats.
• Engage with City employees with professionalism and empathy.
• Stay updated with HR and L&D best practices to enhance learning experiences.
• Take on additional projects as required.
