Job summary

Alpha School Alpha is seeking a Learning and Development Manager to build and lead a coaching culture that helps Guides empower K‑8 students beyond academics. You will coach Guides, run life-skills workshops, and use data to improve outcomes weekly.

This is a full-time role based on campus in Dallas, TX; Oklahoma City, OK; Austin, TX; or Fort Worth, TX, with relocation support provided and six-figure compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in education, learning and development, coaching, youth leadership, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Build a coaching culture where exceptional Guides consistently develop students who love school, master academics at an accelerated pace, and build resilience, leadership, and life skills to succeed beyond the classroom.
• Coach and develop Guides to deliver Alpha's coaching model with consistency, energy, and uncompromising standards.
• Lead life skills workshops covering communication, focus, feedback, leadership, and resilience for K-8 students using proven playbooks.
• Use performance data to identify coaching opportunities, remove barriers, and drive measurable improvements every week.
• Maintain your own student cohort while modeling coaching excellence and accountability.
