Job summary

Alpha reimagines the school day around faster learning, mentorship, and real-world skills. This Learning And Development Manager will build a coaching culture, develop Guides, and lead life skills workshops for K-8 students using proven playbooks.

You will use performance data to identify coaching opportunities, drive improvements weekly, and mentor cohorts, shaping campus culture and student outcomes with high standards and accountability.

Qualifications

• Campus presence required in Dallas, TX; Oklahoma City, OK; Austin, TX; or Fort Worth, TX with relocation support.
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, Organizational Leadership, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in education, learning and development, coaching, youth leadership, or related field.
• Experience leading an ongoing team of five or more adults with performance-based decisions.
• Sustained responsibility for learning, behavior, motivation, or growth of children ages 5–14 in relevant settings.
• Proven ability to use performance metrics and data to diagnose problems and deliver results.
• Willingness to work in a school that rejects traditional pedagogy.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop Guides to deliver Alpha's coaching model with consistency, energy, and standards.
• Lead life skills workshops covering communication, focus, feedback, leadership, and resilience for K‑8.
• Use student and Guide performance data to identify coaching opportunities and drive improvements weekly.
• Lead motivation sessions that help students own ambitious goals and achieve them.
• Maintain your own student cohort while modeling coaching excellence and accountability.
