Job summary

San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living seeks a Learning and Development Manager to build and lead an organization-wide learning function. You’ll design programs that strengthen leadership effectiveness, regulatory readiness, engagement, and succession planning, partnering with executives to translate needs into measurable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, Instructional Design, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience may be considered.
• Seven (7) years of progressively responsible learning and development, organizational development, talent development, training, or closely related experience.
• Experience designing and facilitating learning for adult employees and managers.
• Experience partnering with leaders and subject‑matter experts to assess needs and implement organization‑wide learning solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive, organization-wide learning and development strategy aligned with priorities and values.
• Conduct organization-wide training needs assessments using performance data and feedback.
• Design, develop, facilitate, and improve instructor-led, virtual, blended, and e-learning programs.
• Lead leadership and management development programs, including supervisory training and coaching.
• Partner with HR and operational leaders on talent development, career pathways, succession planning, and capability planning.
• Establish and maintain an annual learning calendar and governance process.
• Oversee learning management systems, course assignments, tracking, reporting, and data integrity.
• Collaborate with subject-matter experts to coordinate required training for workforce and healthcare environments.
• Create onboarding frameworks and support transition, culture, and retention.
• Develop metrics and dashboards; evaluate participation, knowledge transfer, and business impact.
• Manage L&D budget, vendors, contracts, and learning resources.
• Stay current on learning technologies and healthcare training requirements; adopt best practices.
• Develop standards, templates, facilitator guides, and documentation for consistency.
• Facilitate learning sessions and coach internal facilitators on delivery.
• Promote inclusive learning, accessibility, and equitable development opportunities.
• Support change-management with communications and adoption strategies.
• Perform other related duties and special projects.
