Job summary

M/I Homes is seeking a Learning and Development Manager to drive the strategic direction of eLearning across the organization. The role includes managing our LMS, curating content, and partnering with SMEs to design impactful training programs.

The position is based at the Corporate office in Columbus, Ohio, requiring in-office work five days a week. Bachelor’s degree and 4–6 years’ LMS experience are required along with strong instructional design and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Education, Instructional Design, or related field.
• 4–6 years of LMS management experience.
• Strong instructional design and content development skills.
• Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools and multimedia content creation.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Maintain courses in progress and build a pipeline for future work.
• Collaborate with SMEs to identify training needs and leverage expert input.
• Establish feedback loops to keep SMEs accountable.
• Monitor LMS usage and track progress/completion.
• Provide regular training effectiveness reports and insights.
• Create newsletters and annual wrap-up reports; manage weekly HRIS uploads.
• Oversee day-to-day LMS operations and integrations with IT/HR.
• Develop engaging learning materials (eLearning, videos, quizzes).
• Identify external resources to supplement internal content.
• Upload and organize materials; manage enrollments and compliance.
• Ensure content is searchable and up-to-date.
• Support users and stakeholders with LMS usage.
