Job summary

Royal Business Bank in Los Angeles seeks a Training and Development Manager to lead the full training lifecycle—needs assessment, curriculum design, delivery, and evaluation—to ensure staff have the skills to perform effectively and advance professionally.

You will partner with departments to support continuous learning, leadership development, and process improvements, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements including BSA and related standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in training, instructional design, or organizational development.
• Experience within banking, financial services, or a regulated industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding curriculum development and delivery.
• Conduct in-person and virtual training across HR, operations, compliance, and customer service.
• Design and maintain training materials, guides, e-learning modules, simulations, and assessments.
• Collaborate with managers to tailor content to operational needs.
• Develop leadership and management training paths for succession planning.
• Create annual training plans aligned with goals, audits, and regulatory changes.
• Identify capability gaps and training needs with department leaders.
• Lead learning and development strategy, recommending new programs and long-term approaches.
• Develop LMS strategy including scheduling, content management, tracking and reporting.
• Support culture-building and change management through learning initiatives.
• Keep content current with regulatory updates and industry standards.
