Job summary

Northern Natural Gas seeks a Learning & Development Specialist to design, deliver and evaluate employee and leadership development programs across the organization. The role partners with managers to implement development opportunities aimed at raising performance and capabilities.

Responsibilities include designing and facilitating in-person and virtual training, evaluating outcomes, advising leaders on training needs, and coordinating mentoring and career development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in organization development, adult learning, human resources, education or related field.
• Three years of experience in curriculum and instructional design.
• Proficiency with MS Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of web-based applications, online learning and performance management systems.
• Preference for leadership development, team-building and conflict resolution programs.
• Preference for CliftonStrengths certification and strengths-based workshops experience.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
• Travel to offices across the BHE Pipeline Group up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Assess, design, implement, deliver and evaluate employee and leadership development programs.
• Research and analyze training information to determine content, audience and objectives; maintain online resources.
• Design, develop and facilitate in-person and virtual training workshops and e-learning solutions.
• Advise areas across the organization to diagnose training issues and act as an internal consultant.
• Coordinate mentoring, leadership and career development programs.
