Job summary

Royal Switchgear, an MPS Company., located in Bessemer, Alabama, is seeking a Training Coordinator to develop internal employee training programs and coordinate employee participation in outside training programs.

You will assess training needs, maintain records, create monthly training calendars, and coordinate internal or external trainers and facilities. The role includes LMS responsibility, documentation, and ensuring 5S, safety, and quality compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and/or 4 to 6 years of experience.
• Perform work under minimal supervision.
• Handle complex issues and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
• Provide leadership, coaching and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.

Responsibilities

• Assess employees for training needs, maintain records of training activities, monitor programmeffectiveness and recommend improvements
• Track and report on employee participation or assessment results
• Create monthly training calendars and arrange for internal or external trainers
• Coordinate materials and facilities for training sessions, including handouts, supplies, technology and virtual or physical conference rooms
• May be responsible for maintaining and assisting others on the use of a Learning Management System (LMS)
• Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
