Job summary

Lehigh County Authority (LCA) is creating its first dedicated Learning & Development Coordinator role, on site in Allentown, PA, to unify training, onboarding and employee development efforts across the organization.

This hands-on position will build centralized training records, partner with leaders to close skill gaps, manage a training calendar, and deliver select in-house programs while coordinating external experts for specialized topics.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in training and development, learning administration, or workforce development.
• Tech savvy and comfort in navigating MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS) / HRIS platforms.
• Hands on experience coordinating training programs, certifications, workshops, or employee development.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a centralized system for training records, certification tracking, and compliance documentation.
• Partner with department leaders to identify training needs, assess skill gaps, and recommend learning solutions.
• Build and maintain an organization-wide training calendar and coordinate internal programs with external providers.
• Implement and manage training tracking processes, starting in Excel and moving to a training management system.
• Deliver select in-house trainings (First Aid/CPR, etc.) and coordinate external experts for specialized topics.
• Coordinate and improve onboarding and orientation programs to help new employees understand the organization and safety expectations.
• Support managers in developing structured learning programs, curricula, and content.
