Lehigh County Authority in Allentown, PA seeks a hands-on Learning & Development Coordinator to consolidate training, onboarding, and compliance tracking into a single, scalable function. You will collaborate with department leaders to identify needs, build systems, and establish sustainable processes for employee development.

The role combines training administration, compliance, and workforce development with opportunities to shape LCA's learning culture and strategies from day one.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in training and development, learning administration, or workforce development.
• Tech-savvy with MS Office and LMS/HRIS platforms.
• Hands-on experience coordinating training programs, certifications, or development.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills with strong organization and follow-through.
• Experience in utilities, public works, manufacturing, safety training, or regulated environments is desirable.
• Certifications (e.g., CPR/First Aid, SHRM/HRCI, CLDP) are highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a centralized system for training records, certification tracking, and compliance documentation.
• Partner with leaders to identify training needs and recommend learning solutions.
• Build and maintain an organization-wide training calendar and coordinate internal and external programs.
• Implement and manage training tracking processes, starting with Excel and moving to a training management system.
• Deliver select in-house trainings (e.g., First Aid/CPR) and coordinate experts for specialized topics.
• Coordinate onboarding and orientation programs to help new employees understand the organization and safety expectations.
• Support SMEs in developing structured learning programs and curricula.
