Pay Rate: $40.00/hour W2 only

Working Hours: 8AM TO 5PM EST

Overview

The Learning Developer collaborates with Training & Development (T&D) Project Managers, Trainer/Designers, subject matter experts (SMEs), and key internal stakeholders to design, build, and maintain high-quality interactive learning content for customers, internal support staff, and sales teams across product lines. Applying foundational adult learning principles and systematic instructional design methodologies such as the ADDIE framework, the Learning Developer builds/modifies interactive digital content, e-learning modules, and blended learning solutions suited for product launches and rapidly changing environments. Serving as an Adult Learning Expert and consultant, this role manages complex multi-project portfolios under minimal supervision, and ensures all assets comply with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interactive Content Creation & Maintenance: Design, produce, and update digital learning assets, e-learning modules, micro-learning components, and media for online, virtual instructor-led (vILT), and blended learning environments.
  • Instructional Design Application: Apply adult learning theory and systematic instructional design principles (ADDIE framework) to transform technical and product specifications into clear, engaging learning content.
  • Quality System & Governance Compliance: Maintain adherence to T&D content standards, participate in interdepartmental review of content for branding/legal language/grammar adherence, facilitate review cycles and manage stakeholder completion, and follow all Quality Management System (QMS) requirements across all developed assets to align with US regulatory regulatory requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with T&D Project Managers, Trainer/Designers, technical SMEs, global teams, and cross-functional teams to gather content, script instructional materials, and edit content for effective knowledge transfer.
  • Tooling & Platform Support: Build interactive media using standard rapid authoring tools (Articulate Storyline/Rise, Adobe Captivate, Powtoon, video production software) and assist in publishing assets within the learning platform infrastructure.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in training development and instructional design is required.
  • Instructional Frameworks: Solid foundational understanding of adult learning theory, systematic instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE framework), and curriculum alignment is required.
  • Technical & Authoring Tools: Hands-on experience using e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Powtoon, or similar), audio/video editing software, and practical application of emerging AI development features is required.
  • Regulatory & Quality Systems: Experience working within a regulated industry (e.g., diagnostics, IVD, healthcare, or medical devices) with solid familiarity with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, document control, and ISO standards is required.
